Anthony Weiner

In case you haven't heard, congressman Anthony Weiner of New York sent sex messages over Twitter and the telephone.

Stop right there! That is all the public really needs to know!

We, the public, do not need to know anything else; and unless he used government equipment and told state secrets to these women, he should stay in office. You wonder why he lied? He was ashamed. Yes, he should've owned up to it, but seriously how many people lie about anything sexual? It's not a capital crime. It is an awful thing, yes, but it's not a crime to send sex messages to someone over Twitter.

It wasn't like these women really gave a damn. They knew he was married. One of them wrote a letter to Huma apologizing. Really? If I were Huma I'd ignore it. All these women could've said no. They could've blocked him or not answer his phone calls. They are just as guilty, yet they are now going to get the spotlight like Monica Lewinsky and Kat Von D. Monica Lewinsky went from talk show to talk show, and people lionized her for a while. Seriously? Homewreckers, male or female, do not need to be made out to be heroes. They aren't. They are anything but heroes.  No one forced these women to do anything. Yet, all of a sudden they come out of the woodwork to say whatever it is they want to say, and in many cases make money doing it.

And everyone keeps saying "What is Huma thinking?" or "I wonder what she is going to do." Whatever she does decide to do is between her and Anthony Weiner. This has nothing to do with us.  Huma is now pregnant, and that should be her first concern... We do NOT need to know anything the couple wants us to know. This is not our business!

And as for these other women, my advice to you is stop making out like you were the victims!  You could've said NO!

And as for Mr. Weiner, he made a huge mistake and are now paying the consequences. However, that does not take away the fact that he is a great politician. I do not think he should step down.
